Rick Smith joined Securus Technologies in 2008 and has served the firm in different positions. Prior to joining Securus, he worked for Eschelon Telecom Inc. where he was the Chief Financial Officer from 1998 until 2000. In 2000, he became the President of the firm until 2003 when he was appointed the CEO of the enterprise. Rick worked at Frontier Corp. as the Vice President of financial management before joining Eschelon. He worked at Frontier Corp for two decades and grew his resume by serving in different positions.
Richard Smith has an impressive academic record. He acquired an Associate Degree in Applied Science (Electrical Engineering) from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Rick furthered his training at the State University of New York, Buffalo and attained a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Mr. Smith furthered his training at the State University of New York, Brockport where he attained his masters’ degree. He also attained a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Rochester.
